Beeline Road Race

Yesterday I traveled down to Oxfordshire to compete in the Beeline Bicycles Road Race. The race was a 2/3 race over a 14 mile circuit which included 2 fast descents and a short but sharp climb towards the end of the lap. On the last lap the race then took a left turn at the top of the climb and then continued up for another 250m until the finish.

On the 2nd lap a small break of 5 was allowed to go up the road, however at the end of the race there was only 3 remaining. They managed to gain around a 1 minute lead on the bunch during the race however that gap was reduced at the end was was eventually bridged by the eventual winner Danny Axford who attacked into a head wind with around 3k to go Until the finish.

I was happy to finish 7th overall. Another good result coming towards the end of the season.
