So since being back on the bike from 1st Dec, I am now into the 6th week of training during this winter, and calling an end to the Base Period of long and easy miles and just getting out on the bike. Something I have really enjoyed so far with the weather being warm.
With the goal being hours and miles over the last 6 weeks without gaining to much training load I have managed to average just over 13 hours a week putting in some good time and getting off to a nice start. Moving ahead the plan will now be to start adding some harder workouts with more quality than quantity, trying to get the most out of my training for the time. Hopefully this more traditional approach will be the one to take this year and I am happy with the progress I have made so far. Hopefully it can continue.
