On Sunday I traveled down to the Enstone Vision Motorsport Circuit at Chipping Norton once again the take part in the 2nd Round of the Zappi Crit Series which is being held through the spring.
The race was at 14:45 in the afternoon, with the weather warming up very well come the time to race. With the circuit being very technical and slipping off and crashing last week, the aim was to get round safely.
Once the race started the pressure was put on early to try and break the race up, and a small break was established early with a few seconds advantage however they were brought back with one lone rider left up the road. As the wind on the exposed circuit kept blowing and splits were caused throughout the group.
The lone rider was able to stay away until the end and take the victory. It was then a bunch sprint for 2nd. I was able to position myself well and take 4th on the line and place 5th overall. It was another pleasing day and I was happy to get around safely.
