On Saturday I traveled over to Walton-On-The-Wolds to ride in the East Midlands Road Race League round being held on the Sixhills Course by Leisure Lakes Bikes. it was a circuit I had not ridden in the past I was not knowing what to expect.
The Race started at 10 and was neutralized out from the HQ for a couple of miles before getting started. For the first two laps the race proved to be fast with no attacks being able to stick. However eventually two riders got away. Following this later during the race another rider managed to bridge the 45 second gap and the break became three. They worked well together and manged to finish up to a minute ahead.
I managed to take the bunch sprint for 4th place, a result I was very pleased with. It was also a great race that was put on by Leisure Lakes Bikes.
