Last week on Thursday I traveled down to Milton Keynes to contest in the Brivelo end of season handicap series held at the National Bowl. It was the third round of the series and the last Thursday evening race held at the Bowl.
Starting at 6:30 in the evening and lasting 45 minutes plus 5 laps, it was to be a little bit shorter than usual, keeping the race in the light with the nights drawing in. The race was to be a Handicap format, with the front group given a lap over the 2nd Cats.
Being in the 2nd Cat group we were set off first with the front groups being set off after and being declared as the front of the race. It was then a though and off until we caught them which was not until the later stages of the race with a few laps remaining.
It then came down to a bunch sprint after late attacks failed to get away. I was able to take 3rd place in the sprint. It was a great result to finish the midweek racing and meant that I finished them on a high.
